China Academy of Space Technology (CAST) is a subsidiary of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), responsible for the research, design, and development of spacecraft, rockets, and space-related technology.

Furthermore, CAST has been actively engaged in Africa’s space industry, providing technical support and assistance to African countries and playing a key role in developing several satellite projects and space programmes in Africa.
