Existence of Earth Trojan Asteroid Confirmed – Could Become "Ideal Bases" for Advanced Exploration

Using the 4.1-meter SOAR (Southern Astrophysical Research) Telescope on Cerro Pachón in Chile, astronomers have confirmed that an asteroid discovered in 2020 by the Pan-STARRS1 survey, called 2020 XL5, is an Earth Trojan (an Earth companion following the same path around the Sun as Earth

Does the solar system have a frequency and can a gong be tuned to it? | New Scientist

My yoga teacher is hosting a gong bath where the gong is supposedly tuned to the frequency of the solar system. Does the solar system have a frequency? If so, is it possible to tune a gong to it?

The word “frequency” alludes to how frequently something recurs. As an exercise, we could look at just some of the frequencies that the solar system can display.

ATLANTIC SKIES: The celestial mechanics of how the planets orbit the sun in our solar system |

I'm sure not many people give much, if any, thought to how Earth and the other planets in our solar system orbit the Sun; it is something they simply take for granted.

However, the celestial mechanics which determine how Earth and the other planets orbit the Sun are actually based on some well-established mathematical principles.

Uranus And Neptune Aren't The Same Color. A New Study Could Finally Explain Why

Uranus and Neptune are the most twin-like of all the planets in the Solar System. They are almost the same size and mass, have similar compositions and structures, even similar rotation rates.

Which makes one glaring difference quite perplexing. Neptune is a fetching shade of azure, with visible swirling storms . Uranus is more of a featureless, delicate pale teal. If the two planets are so similar, whence the difference in their methane-based blues?

What It Looks Like When A Spacecraft Flies Through A Comet Tail

Comet Leonard, also known as Comet C/2021 A1, is slowly fading from our skies after making a one-way trip around the sun. It is on its way to interstellar space.

"For a spacecraft designed to conduct unique studies of the sun, Solar Orbiter is also making a name for itself exploring comets," the European Space Agency joked of the observation, which is the second time Solar Orbiter examined a comet.

How Webb Space Telescope Will Study Distant Worlds - Astrobiology

Illustration comparing the sizes of sub-Neptune exoplanets TOI-421 b and GJ 1214 b to Earth and Neptune. Both TOI-421 b and GJ 1214 b are in between Earth and Neptune in terms of radius, mass, and density. The planets are arranged from left to right in order of increasing radius and mass.

NASA's James Webb Space Telescope is getting ready to give us the best view yet of worlds beyond our own solar system, commonly known as exoplanets.
