Blue Origin has announced the next group of mostly wealthy businesspeople and entrepreneurs who will soon board one of the company's spacecraft for a brief trip to the edge of space.

The impending launch of the New Shepard spacecraft from West Texas will include an all-civilian crew of six passengers who will experience a few minutes of weightlessness and stunning views of Earth before the vehicle parachutes back to the ground.

The upcoming mission – Blue Origin's fifth of 2025 – was announced less than a month since the last human spaceflight for the space technology company billionaire Jeff Bezos founded in 2000.

The most recent June 29 launch was also the second since a headline-grabbing crewed spaceflight in April that included pop star Katy Perry, CBS News anchor Gayle King and Bezos' new wife Lauren Sanchez Bezos.

Here's everything to know about the upcoming mission, which would be New Shepard's 14th human spaceflight and 34th overall.

Blue Origin New Shepard rocket launches take place from the company's private ranch facility  known as Launch Site One – located more than 140 miles east of El Paso near the U.S.-Mexico border.

While the company has announced that its next crewed launch is impending , a target date for liftoff has not yet been revealed as of Tuesday, July 22.

When the New Shepard gets off the ground again, the six people selected to board it will join  70 others who have flown  on the spacecraft across 13 previous human spaceflights.
