Despite recession warnings and fears of an inevitable economic collapse, America in 2022 is full of jobs, it's just that nobody wants to take them.

In 2021, the U.S. added 3.8 million jobs, an "unprecedented" number according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce .

North American companies send in the robots, even as productivity slumps

(Reuters) - North American companies snapped up a record number of robots in the first half of this year as they struggled to keep factories and warehouses humming in the face of an extremely tight labor market and soaring compensation costs.

Companies ordered a record 12,305 machines in the second quarter valued at $585 million, 25% more units than during the same period a year ago, according to data compiled by the industry group the Association for Advancing Automation.

Robots should be sent on missions to Mars instead of humans because they are cheaper, Britain's most senior astronomer has said.

Lord Martin Rees, the Astronomer Royal, believes there is little justification for spending billions of dollars of public cash visiting other planets when it will soon be easier, cheaper, and just as effective to send robots.

Agribusiness and Trade: Robots putting Alliance Group at cutting edge - NZ Herald
